ABSTRACT
Many of mRNAs synthesized during pollen development are translated after germination, and we hypothesize that they stored in cytoplasmic granules. We analyzed the cellular localization SKS14 AT59 Arabidopsis mRNAs, which orthologues tobacco NTP303 tomato LAT59 respectively, by artificially labeling transcripts with a MS2-GFP chimera. A MATLAB-automated image analysis helped to identify presence mRNA granules mature grains. These partially colocalized VCS DCP1, two processing body (PB) proteins. Finally, found temporal correlation between protein accumulation disappearance germination. results contribute unveil mechanism for translational regulation thaliana pollen.
