A High-Resolution Electron Microscopy Study of the Domain Structure in Ni3Nb. II. Orientation and General Domains

Twins in the ordered β-Ni3Nb phase are studied by means of electron diffraction and high resolution microscopy. It is shown that both: orientation twins related a rotation ±2π/3 translation an operator \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ [3/\frac{{\mathop 1\limits^ - }}{2},\,\frac{1}{2},\,\frac{{\mathop }}{2}]$\end{document} occur. Mittels Elektronenbeugung und hochauflösender Elektronenmikroskopie wird Zwillingsbildung der geordneten β-Ni3Nb-Phase untersucht. Es gezeigt, daß sowohl Orientierungszwillinge, die durch eine Drehung um verknüpft sind, als auch Translationszwillinge, den Operator }}{3}] $\end{document} auftreten.
