ABSTRACT
Abstract The antioxidant and scavenging activities of above ground parts Equisetum arvense L., ramosissimum L. telmateia phosphate buffer (pH 7) extracts were investigated. Activities enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase, guaiacol peroxidase glutathione peroxidase), quantities reduced glutathione, malonyldialdehyde, superoxide hydroxyl radicals flavonoid, soluble protein, chlorophyll a, b carotenoid contents determined. total capacity was determined by ferric reducing power (FRAP) assay. extract demonstrated properties better than . ESR signal DMPO‐OH radical adducts in the presence 98.9% indicating that could be a useful source antioxidants with huge ability. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
