ABSTRACT
Obesity is an important issue in the world of public health and preventive medicine. Inhibition proliferation preadipocytes plays role proposed antiobesity mechanisms. In this study, we investigated effect diphlorethohydroxycarmalol (DPHC) isolated from Ishige okamurae on apoptotic pathway. The results showed that DPHC inhibited population growth 3 T3‐L1 as assessed using 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. Flow cytometric analysis number early late cells increases a dose‐dependent manner after exposure to DPHC, while normal was reduced. Our findings indicate induction apoptosis by mediated through activation caspase‐3, Bax, caspase‐9, then cleavage poly(ADP‐ribose) polymerase down‐regulation Bcl‐2. data also indicated treatment with inhibits histone deacetylase activity preadipocytes.
