ABSTRACT
EBUS-TBNA has represented a revolution in the diagnosis of intrathoracic pathologies, particularly lung cancer staging, replacing more invasive methods such as mediastinoscopy. However, its role diagnosing rare benign or malignant mediastinal disorders is still matter debate. Over past few years, EBUS-guided cryobiopsy been increasingly emerging an innovative and minimally technique these disorders, with excellent safety profile. In this case report, we present young man brought to our attention after already undergoing non-diagnostic trans thoracic needle aspiration (TTNA) procedure for consolidations. department, he underwent initial inconclusive rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE), leading decision perform cryobiopsy, which yielded granulomatosis polyangiitis without complications. This clinical demonstrates that specific contexts, EBUS-cryobiopsy represents diagnostic tool.
