ABSTRACT
Abstract Circularly polarized luminescent (CPL) materials have received significant attention in the field of fundamental science recently. These offer substantial advancement technological applications, such as optical data storage, displays, and quantum communication. Various strategies been proposed self‐assembled consisting inorganic, organic, hybrid systems, particularly chiral orientationally ordered soft matter systems (e.g., liquid crystals (LCs) LC polymers). However, developing scientific approaches to achieve pronounced steerable circularly light emission remains challenging. Herein, we present a comprehensive review on recent development CPL based LCs, including thermotropic LCs (cholesteric bent‐core LCs), lyotropic (nanocellulose polyacetylene‐based polymers LC‐based polymers, helical nanofibers, network). In addition, mechanisms, design principles, potential applications these are systematically reviewed. This summarizes with prospect latent challenges, which can strengthen our understanding basic principles provide new insight into progress several fields, chemistry, science, optics, electronics, biology.
