ABSTRACT
Abstract The Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD) is one of the most examined deltas in world given its dynamics, complexity, and vulnerability. In past decades, VMD has changed rapidly, especially land use relation with socioeconomic development. National policy profoundly influenced these changes have significantly affected local livelihoods. However, are not well reported systematically. this study, we investigate land‐use based on institutional analyses across multiple scales, that is, from national, provincial, to livelihood sustainability analysis. results show a strong relationship between legal settings over last 30 years transitions. addition, constraints implementing national frameworks at provincial level practice were identified including effects We offer some recommendations for sustainable livelihoods VMD, focus increasing socioecological resilience.
