ABSTRACT
Following the commercial success of three‐particle electrophoretic display E Ink Spectra� 3000, a four‐particle display, 3100, was developed and launched as premier product in 2021. It targets electronic shelf label applications signage by providing vibrant optical states black, white, red, yellow dithering capability. Specially engineered red particles ink respond to different electric fields show their intrinsic colors on display. For best readability under various light conditions, angles distances, 3100 imaging film can reach typical contrast ratio 30 while maintaining maximum driving voltage 15V. The is coated sealed thin Microcup� structure using an additive high yield roll‐to‐roll process.
