ABSTRACT
Abstract Selective oxidative etching is one of the most effective ways to prepare hollow nanostructures and nanocrystals with specific exposed facets. The mechanism selective in noble metal mainly relies on different reactivity components distinct surface energy multimetallic nanostructures. Recently, phase engineering nanomaterials (PEN) offers new opportunities for preparation unique heterostructures, including heterophase However, synthesis based crystal‐phase‐selective has been rarely studied. Here, a method reported selectively etch unconventional 4H 2H phases Au Due coating Pt‐based alloy 4H‐Au 4H/face‐centered cubic ( fcc ) nanowires, well‐defined ladder‐like Au@PtAg nanoframes are prepared. In addition, 2H‐Au ‐2H‐ nanorods 2H/ nanosheets can also be etched using same method. As proof‐of‐concept application, used electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) acidic media, showing excellent performance that comparable commercial Pt/C catalyst.
