ABSTRACT
Abstract A phenomena based description of the microstructure and flow stress evolution metals subjected to hot working is presented. The change in dislocation density with time was determined from generation recovery rates. Dynamic recrystallization assumed initiate when became greater than a critical value. calculated as function overall deformed recrystallized grains. To validate model set single hit compression tests were carried out on two different AFP (Ausscheidungshärtende Ferritisch‐Perlitische or precipitation hardened ferritic‐pearlitic) steels at strain rate temperature combinations. agreement between experimental curves quite encouraging.
