ABSTRACT
The phosphorus partition between the unkilled liquid crude steel and high basicity (CaO/SiO 2 = 4.2), basic oxygen furnace (BOF) slags with varying compositions of Al O 3 , TiO MnO is studied at temperatures 1600 1650 °C. tests are conducted in both “slag‐to‐metal” “metal‐to‐slag” directions for durations 30 60 min. measured results compared values reported literature found to be good agreement some them. It investigation high‐basicity BOF slags, that MnO, lower partition. increases increasing optical basicity. shows a maximum when FeO content range 25–30 mass%. MgO slightly
