ABSTRACT
Gas‐based shaft furnaces (SFs) have garnered considerable attention because of their low CO 2 emissions. The sticking behavior burden material influences the smooth operation SFs. In this study, effects reduction degree, temperature, and atmosphere on pellets are studied thoroughly under typical conditions. results demonstrate that will stick with each other as degree increases, main phase at maximum index (SI) is iron, interconnection between iron whiskers in bonding phenomenon pellets. exhibit a SI relatively temperature. As temperature stick, which caused by thermal expansion large number whiskers. With an increase proportion H reducing gas, particles become smaller, contact area decreases, effectively general, choosing reasonable increasing gas helpful controlling pellet sticking.
