ABSTRACT
Aluminum is mainly exposed to the general population through food and water, absorbed into systemic circulation intestine, which in turn damages intestinal barrier. The mice model of subchronic exposure aluminum chloride (AlCl3 ) was established via oral. Tail suspension test used detect depressive behavior. H&E staining performed assess pathological injury. Intestinal permeability estimated by exogenous Evans blue content. The level inflammatory cytokines tight junction protein were assessed ELISA western blotting. Simultaneously, resveratrol (Rsv, an agonist Sirt1) evaluated protective role against barrier injuries caused exposure. Our results showed that AlCl3 induced depressive-like behavior, damage permeability, resulting dysfunction. Besides, expression cytokines, further triggered IRF8-MMP9-mediated downregulation proteins including CLD1, OCLD ZO-1. After Rsv treatment, SIRT1 increased, symptom improved, injury reduced, reaction alleviated, function restored. Our findings revealed dysfunction IRF8-MMP9 signaling pathway. alleviated these activating SIRT1.
