ABSTRACT
The deformation and strength of multilayered plates made of epoxy carbonreinforced plastic under the action of tensile forces have been studied. The mechanical behavior carbon-reinforced plastic is predicted proceeding from an assumption of elastic deformation of the composite by means of the effective characteristics of a layer. Characteristics for a monolayer are found from appropriate tests on specimens with a single reinforcement direction. The supporting capacity of elements is evaluated as a result of analyzing the stress-strain state of a layer. Calculated and experimental data are compared.
