ABSTRACT
This study was undertaken to investigate the ability of a high-pressure CO2 environment aerosolize tumor cells in both vitro and vivo models. (An aerosol is defined as stable gaseous suspension insoluble particles). Also, this designed determine if rapid desufflation capable transporting fluid laden with cells.The four experiments were performed an 18.9-1 plastic vessel fitted two 7-mm ports compliant latex balloon affixed top. After insufflation, desufflated through sterile soluset containing 25 ml culture media that subsequently emptied into dish, incubated for weeks, periodically assessed growth. At bottom vessel, one following placed: Study 1 2, B16 melanoma or colon 26 liquid media; 3, saline solution; 4, several pieces solid tumor.
