ABSTRACT
Observation by electron and phase-contrast microscopy demonstrated that inBombyx mori the dissociation of eupyrene bundles, apparently through digestion of the prostatic secretion or an endopeptidase, was promoted by the vigorously flagellating movement of apyrene spermatozoa in the spermatophore.
