ABSTRACT
The benefits of the "no-touch" isolation technique usually performed to prevent circulation tumor cells are not evident. aim this study was determine whether conventional surgical procedures for treatment colon cancer could provoke detected by a genetic technology.Sixteen patients undergoing resection colorectal and two with irresectable tumors were studied. No patient showed liver or lung metastasis. With specific primers carcinoembryonic antigen, we used reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction analyze biopsy specimens blood samples obtained from antecubital vein before after surgery main drainage when had been extracted. Peritoneal fluid also collected in irrecsectable cases.Amplification cDNA antigen-specific achieved all biopsies peritoneal fluid. In antigen products one them surgery. Only (Dukes C) tumor. serial dilution experiments determined that limit detection method ten 2 ml blood. Our data suggest use no-touch techniques is justified, based on lack evidence indicating detachment at
