ABSTRACT
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is frequently used in the diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma. CA242 a novel unique tumor-associated characterized by higher tumor specificity and sensitivity for cancer, as compared with other mucin antigens. In this study, preoperative levels serum CEA were measured 63 cases It was disclosed that positive rate than CEA, particularly patients colon cancer. The combined determination significantly increased accuracy detection cancer use alone (P<0.01). advanced disease markedly elevated, especially liver metastasis. results indicate assays an useful adjunct diagnostic measure carcinoma, helpful assessment stage well making treatment plan.
