ABSTRACT
We study the LHC discovery potential in search for heavy neutral leptons (HNL) with a new signature: displaced shower CMS muon detector, giving rise to large cluster of hits forming shower. A Delphes module is used model detector response such decays. reinterpret dedicated long-lived particles decaying endcap detectors minimal HNL scenario. demonstrate that this strategy particularly sensitive active-sterile mixings $\tau$ leptons, due hadronic masses between $\sim 1 - 6$ GeV can be accessed as low $|V_{\tau N}|^{2}\sim 10^{-7}$, probing unique regions parameter space sector.
