ABSTRACT
We use top quark pair production as a probe of top-philic non-resonant new physics. Following low energy effective field theory approach, we calculate several key observables in at hadron colliders (e.g., total cross section, $ t\bar{t} invariant mass distribution, forward-backward asymmetry, spin correlations) including the interference Standard Model with dimension-six operators. determine LHC reach probing physics after having taken into account Tevatron constraints. In particular, show that gluon fusion process gg \to which remains largely unconstrained is affected by only one operator, chromo-magnetic moment quark. This operator can be further constrained data soon precision about 20% reached for cross-section. While our approach general and model-independent, it particularly relevant to models Higgs compositeness, consider detail, also connection t\bar{t}t\bar{t} t\bar{t}b\bar{b} production.
