ABSTRACT
A bstract The first measurement of ϕ (1020) meson production in fixed-target p Ne collisions at $$ \sqrt{s_{NN}} s NN = 68 . 5 GeV is presented. mesons are reconstructed their K + − decay a data sample consisting proton on neon nuclei rest, corresponding to an integrated luminosity 21 7 ± 1 4 nb , collected by the LHCb detector CERN. cross-section centre-of-mass rapidity range 8 < y * 0 and transverse momentum 800 T 6500 MeV/ c found be σ 182 2 (stat.) 14 (syst) μ b/nucleon. double-differential also provided four regions six compared with predictions from Pythia EPOS4, which underestimate experimental values.
