ABSTRACT
A bstract We study the renormalization of a particular sector Horndeski theory. In particular, we focus on nonminimal coupling scalar field to Gauss-Bonnet term and its kinetic Einstein tensor. Adopting power expansion function that couples term, find specific conditions their coefficients such action charges are finite. To accomplish latter, add finite set intrinsic boundary terms. The contribution generates an effective mass, allowing us recover modified Breitenlohner-Freedman bound. Furthermore, compute holographic 1-point functions Ward identities associated with metric. constrain parameter space theory by taking into account preservation scaling symmetry at boundary.
