Single-top associated production with a Z or H boson at the LHC: the SMEFT interpretation

ABSTRACT
A bstract At the LHC, top quarks can be produced singly with a sizeable rate via electroweak interactions. This process probes limited set of top-quark couplings, i.e., same entering decay, yet at higher scales and different sensitivity. Requiring production Z or H boson in association single-top significantly extends sensitivity this to new physics, opening up unique possibility testing top-Higgs, top-gauge, triple gauge, gauge-Higgs interactions without being dominated by QCD We consider tZj tHj providing predictions next-to-leading accuracy framework standard model effective field theory, including all relevant operators dimension six. perform first complete study these processes, highlighting interplay complementarity among tj , simultaneously constraining top-quark, current future runs LHC.
