ABSTRACT
F-theory compactified on a Calabi-Yau fourfold naturally describes non- Abelian gauge symmetries through the singularity structure of elliptic fibration. In contrast are more difficult to study because their inherently global nature. We argue that in general compactifications there massive symmetries, such as uplift part U(N) group D7-branes, arise from non-Kähler resolutions dual M-theory setup. The four-dimensional vacuum with vanishing expectation values for fields corresponds limit. propose fluxes turned along these U(1)s uplifted non-harmonic four-form fluxes. derive effective gauged su- pergravity resulting presence factors including effects possible gauging, tadpoles and matter spectrum.
