ABSTRACT
A QTL for aphid resistance on pepper chromosome 2 was identified and validated. This affects survival reproduction, fine mapped to a locus containing LRR-RLK analogues. Myzus persicae is one of the most threatening insect pests that adversely (Capsicum) cultivation. Resistance aphids previously in Capsicum baccatum. study aimed at elucidating genetics C. analysis carried out M. an F2 population derived from intraspecific cross between highly resistant plant susceptible plant. Survival reproduction were used as parameters. Interval mapping detected two QTLs affecting (Rmpas-1) (Rmprp-1), respectively, both localized same area sharing top marker 2. Use this co-factor multiple-QTL revealed second, minor (Rmprp-2) only 4. Fine confirmed effects Rmpas-1 Rmprp-1 narrowed major down genomic region 96 kb which predicted encode four analogues genes receptor-like kinase family leucine-rich repeat domain (LRR-RLKs). work provides not initial information breeding aphid-resistant varieties, but also forms basis future molecular gene(s) involved resistance.
