ABSTRACT
Abstract Inconel 718 alloy is characterised by high strength and corrosion resistance remains stable at temperatures, so it widely used in the energy aerospace industries. However, machining this material difficult due to its strength, hardness, specific force coefficient exceeding 3000 MPa. Turning of can be carried out with negative positive inserts. Therefore, impacts insert geometry on turning process 718, cutting components, surface roughness were studied. Three three geometries tested. It was shown that key influence active components effective rake angle. The roughness, other hand, depends mainly cutting-edge radius. has been γ = 6° r n =22 μm provides a 30% lower than inserts same roughness. developed models proved when inserts, higher occurs for insert. technological parameters had very similar effect regardless blade geometry. proven use makes sense only depths cut no greater size corner
