ABSTRACT
Abstract Introduction and hypothesis The objective was to evaluate sexual function, vaginal prolapse, quality of life (QoL) in women after radical cystectomy (RC) using validated questionnaires pelvic organ prolapse quantification (POP-Q) measurement. Methods Female bladder cancer patients who underwent RC at our tertiary care center were included (January 2008 March 2022). Patients received three (International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Vaginal Symptoms [ICIQ-VS] Part A, Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Sexual IUGA revised [PISQ], European Organization for Research Treatment Cancer Quality Life [EORTC] C30/BLM30). consented examined with POP-Q Results Out 322 patients, 193 still alive, 54 lost follow-up, 43 excluded, resulting 96 the questionnaire. Finally, 35 included, whom 17 examination. Complaints due symptoms low (ICIQ-VS 6.17 + 5.37). activity reported by 12 (34.3%); 23 (65.71%) not sexually active. No apical found measurement; 6 (35.3%) had anterior, 14 (82.4%) posterior prolapse; highest stage 2. significant differences regarding POP stages, QoL (all p > 0.05) when comparing continent incontinent urinary diversions. Comparing approach (no sparing vs sparing), only two PISQ subscales (significantly higher scores vagina sparing, = 0.01 0.02). Conclusions type diversion, tumor stages did show QoL, complaints RC, whereas a vagina- showed without clinical relevance.
