ABSTRACT
A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method for the analysis of seven antiviral drugs, zanamivir, ribavirin, oseltamivir, oseltamivir carboxylate, amantadine, rimantadine and arbidol, in poultry muscle is reported. The drugs were extracted from homogenized sample using methanol. extract was purified tandem solid-phase extraction combining a cation exchange cartridge phenylboronic acid cartridge. To prevent excessive matrix effects, analytes separated constituents column-switch chromatography system reversed-phase Hypercarb analytical column. Detection carried out spectrometry. fully validated according to 2002/657/EC [1] proved be adequate quantification confirmation zanamivir ribavirin at 10 μg kg(-1), amantadine levels below 1.0 kg(-1) qualitative confirmatory arbidol 1 kg(-1).
