ABSTRACT
Debate and deliberation surrounding climate change has shifted from mitigation toward adaptation, with much of the adaptation focus centered on adaptive practices, infrastructure development. However, there is little research assessing expected impacts, potential benefits, design challenges that exist for reducing vulnerability to impacts. The uncertainty requirements associated government policies, social structures reflect observed projected changes in intensity, duration, frequency water-related events leaves communities vulnerable negative impacts flood drought. results international into how agricultural features current planned capacity rural Argentina, Canada, Colombia indicate extreme hydroclimatic events, as well variability unpredictability are important understanding responding community vulnerability. outcomes clearly identify need deliberately plan, coordinate, implement infrastructures support resiliency.
