ABSTRACT
For patients with recurrent inguinal hernia, or bilateral for women, laparoscopic repair offers significant advantages over open techniques regard to recurrence risk, pain, and recovery. unilateral first-time hernias, either mesh can offer excellent results. The major drawback of laparoscopy is that the technique requires a number cases master. surgeons in group practice, it makes sense have one surgeon perform repairs so experience be concentrated. others, best remains approach most comfortable experienced performing.
