ABSTRACT
Abstract Recent developments in micro and nanoencapsulation are promising tools to encounter the different limitations of essential oil formulations, enhance their functionalities, protect them from external environmental conditions. This review addresses current studies progresses related development encapsulated oils using systems carrier material types. It also focuses on formation methods used with subsequent physicochemical characterization developed particles. Moreover, this considers factors affecting release models. The choice appropriate method as well types system forms were shown highly depend intended purpose formulation. Micro control oils’ properties, various characteristics oils, allow expand applications fields. provides optimal conditions for formulations based end uses.
