ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the safety and efficacy of botulinum-A toxin injections into bulbospongiosus muscle for cases lifelong drug-resistant premature ejaculation (PE). Methods Ninety-eight outpatients diagnosed with PE were randomly assigned to two groups: group comprising forty-nine patients placebo (saline) also consisting patients. A 100 U was diluted 10 cc saline, 5 injected one side (botulinum-A group) guided by ultrasound distribute across most fibers. The same technique applied using volume saline muscle. Intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT), scores from profile (PEP), Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool (PEDT), International Index Erectile Function (IIEF), recording any complications obtained. Follow-ups occurred at 1-, 3-, 6-month post-procedure. Results Cases receiving showed notably extended intravaginal times compared their initial performance after treatment. In addition, there enhancements in PEP scores, notably, no significant reported. Conversely, bilateral injection did not demonstrate impact on latencies. Conclusion Our study demonstrated that can serve as a safe effective option treating PE. Nonetheless, its clinical application warrants further studies involving larger sample sizes longer follow-up periods.
