ABSTRACT
Among people with Parkinson's disease (PD), non-motor symptoms (NMS) are a well-recognised cause of significant morbidity and poor quality life. Yet, it is only more recently that NMS have been recognised to affect the lives patients atypical parkinsonian syndromes in similar fashion. The aim this article highlight compare relative prevalence among published literature, which largely remain underreported unaddressed routine clinical practice. All occur PD also found commonly syndromes. In particular, excessive daytime sleepiness prevalent (94.3%) compared (33.9%) or normal controls (10.5%) (p < 0.001). Urinary dysfunction (not limited urinary incontinence) not MSA (79.7%) (79.9%), but has reported nearly half PSP (49.3%), DLB (42%) CBD (53.8%) Apathy significantly common [PSP (56%), (48%), (44%), (43%)] (35%) = 0.029). Early recognition addressing may help improve holistic patient care provided encompass range conservative pharmacotherapeutic treatments address these symptoms.
