Of 76 (17 percent) who an associated or abscess, 3 were lost follow-up. remaining 73 (45 abscess 28 abscess) followed for median 43 months.of 45 7 (15 required surgery during their first hospitalization versus 11 (39 (P = 0.04). At end follow-up, 22 (58 38 successful conservative treatment did not need surgical vs. 8 (47 17 abscess. Altogether, 51 percent 71 those 0.09).Considering poor diverticulitis, percutaneous drainage by secondary colectomy seems justified. Mesocolic itself is absolute indication colectomy.
