ABSTRACT
Different surgical techniques for pilonidal disease have been described in the literature. In this study our aim was to evaluate influence of routine cavity drainage Karydakis flap technique.Fifty patients with sinus who underwent operation were evaluated prospectively. The assigned randomly into two groups-with and without suction cavity-and effects drains studied terms wound complications, hospital stay, recurrence rate.There no significant difference between groups term length stay. Complication rate 20 percent complications caused exclusively by fluid collections. Wound infection, dehiscence, or failure not observed any patients. There has during follow-up period. a increase number collections patents drain.The present indicates that reduces incidence collection after operation.
