ABSTRACT
This study investigates the ways in which age and gender play out on LinkedIn pages of global staffing agencies through an intersectionality lens. A discourse analysis 437 posts (including visual images, captions, comments) was conducted. found that corporate diversity shaped were represented. The portrayals to create gendered specializations labor reproduce stereotypes; additionally, some workers represented as disembodied clusters attributes. results this show complex systems unfold, including two mutually reinforcing, gender/age system surfacing, dissolving. findings suggest has lost its performativity a concept, may not support disadvantaged groups gaining access better employment opportunities. proposes actively address intersectional disadvantages foster gender- age-transformative change.
