ABSTRACT
Getting To Outcomes (GTO), an innovative framework for planning, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining interventions has been shown to be effective in helping community-based organizations (CBOs) introduce science-based approaches into their prevention work. However, the Interactive Systems Framework (ISF) suggests that adopting innovations like GTO requires a significant amount of capacity building through training technical assistance (T/TA). In this study, 11 CBOs three schools South Carolina entered 3 year program intense proactive T/TA based on ISF learn how apply adaptation (Promoting Science-Based Approaches-Getting Outcomes, PSBA-GTO) teen pregnancy programs. Using semi-structured interviews, partnering were assessed at points time, pre-T/TA, 12 months, post (30 months) performance steps The seven which participated until end project received average 76 h TA 112 per organization. Interview results showed increased all 10 PSBA-GTO by these when conducting These suggest targeted can successfully bridge gap between research practice using part delivery system, as prescribed ISF, relies intermediary support system ensure accurate translation everyday work practitioners.
