ABSTRACT
A novel C29 sterol, stigmasta-5, 22, 25-trien-7-on-3β-ol, has been isolated from the branches of Clerodendrum cyrtophyllum with four other known sterols. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic studies, including 1H, 13C NMR, and HR-ESI-MS. Bioassay tests show that they can inhibit Mcf-7 human breast cancer cell growth.
