ABSTRACT
The Eu3+ doped nano-Gd2O3 (nano-Y2O3) phosphors were prepared by combustion method with different annealing temperatures in this article. The as-synthesized samples were subsequently studied for the crystal structure, morphologies, photoluminescence property and the influences by laser-induction. The field-emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy results indicate an interesting change of morphology dependent on annealing temperature. The emission and excitation spectra imply the influence of laser-induction on photoluminescence peaks and charge-transfer state, which can be ascribed to the increase of surface defects and the blocked energy transfer channels that are introduced by laser irradiation.
