ABSTRACT
Flower-like SnO2 nanocomposites were synthesized by a simple way. Products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. SnO2, which diameter ranges from about 200–500 nm, possesses a flower-like morphology. The products showed excellent photocatalytic performance under UV light irradiation. The photocatalytic properties of the flower-like SnO2 nanocomposites were investigated by evaluating on photo-degradation of pollutants methyl orange (MO) and Rhodamine B(RhB). According to test runs, the flower-like SnO2 exhibited better photocatalytic activity than commercial SnO2 particles.
