ABSTRACT
Professional development in science education aims to support teacher learning with the ultimate goal of improving student achievement. A multitude factors influence change and effectiveness professional development. This review literature explores these identifies school district leaders as a critical factor missing from current models. School play significant role planning implementation development, well providing ongoing leadership change. Considering this role, are not just contextual factor, but rather an integral part process should be integrated into considered any model education.
