ABSTRACT
This paper is devoted to the theoretical investigation of the properties of the waveguide with periodic layered walls. We consider the waveguide formed by the gap between two periodic both dielectric and semiconductor structures. Various kinds of the field distribution are analyzed. Te influence of the external magnetic field on the waveguide properties is investigated. The nonlinear properties of the dielectric guiding layer confined between two periodic structures are considered. The condition under which the second harmonic intensity considerable increases is obtained.
