Thiazolyl pyrazoles and isoxazoles were prepared and their antimicrobial activity studied. Chloro- and nitro-substituted thiazolyl isoxazoles were potential antibacterial agents against Staphylococcus aureus, and nitro-substituted thiazolyl pyrazole was a potential antifungal agent against Aspergillus niger.
