ABSTRACT
Abstract This study describes the registration of first cases lumpy skin disease in July 2016 Republic Kazakhstan. In rural district Makash, Kurmangazinsky Atyrau region, 459 cattle fell ill and 34 died (morbidity 12.9% mortality 0.96%). To determine cause disease, samples were taken from sick dead animals, as well insects ticks. LSDV DNA was detected by PCR all animals ticks (Dermacentor marginatus Hyalomma asiaticum), 14.29% horseflies (Tabanus bromius), one two Stomoxys calcitrans flies. The reproductive LSD virus isolated organs culture LT MDBK cells. accumulated cell cultures at level third passage with titers range 5.5–5.75 log 10 TCID50/cm 3 . Sequencing GPCR gene allowed us to identify this a virus.
