ABSTRACT
To evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness and therapeutic outcomes of a novel pure retroperitoneoscopic extravesical bladder cuff excision (PREBE) in patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC), retrospectively comparative study between PREBE traditional laparoscopic nephroureterectomy (TLNU) was done single center. We evaluated 72 diagnosed UTUC at our hospital from January 2022 to 2024. The who underwent TLNU (n = 35) 37) were consecutively enrolled. kidney retroperitoneoscopically dissected repaired needle sutures under group. Demographic, perioperative, follow-up data collected compared two groups. Both procedures performed effectively without converting open surgery. group exhibited shorter mean operative time (P < 0.01), less estimated blood loss (EBL) median drainage tube removal time, first postoperative defecation (FPD) 0.01) stay 0.01). However, there no statistical difference pathological results or incidence intravesical recurrence 13.8 months for 14.4 is safe effective treatment UTUC, avoiding intraoperative patient repositioning while offering better perioperative those techniques.
