ABSTRACT
Some [68Ga]siderophores show promise in specific and sensitive imaging of infection. Here, we compare the vitro vivo behaviour selected Ga-68 Zr-89 labelled siderophores. Radiolabelling was performed HEPES or sodium acetate buffer systems. Radiochemical purity siderophores determined using chromatography. Partition coefficients, stability protein binding affinities were determined. Ex biodistribution animal studied mice. Certain differences among observed labelling efficiency. Protein tests showed highest stabilities lowest for [89Zr]triacetylfusarinine C (TAFC). All [89Zr]siderophores exhibited a similar pharmacokinetics mice with exception [89Zr]ferrioxamine E (FOXE). analogous behaviour. Tested could be applied longitudinal positron emission tomography (PET) studies fungal infections especially TAFC development novel bioconjugates.
