ABSTRACT
Abstract Drawing on the resource-based view of firm, this study investigates relationship between human capital (employees’ experience, knowledge and technical skills, managerial talent) innovativeness (propensity to innovate) in a sample 478 family firms taken from cross-country dataset (STEP Project). Furthermore, we consider moderating effect proportion members sitting board directors ( ratio ). The main findings highlight that there is positive firm innovativeness. Moreover, positively moderates such way when high, stronger. This result weaker multiple generations are actively involved firm. In summary, focus more attention people for reason, play an important strategic leadership role valorizing fosters
