ABSTRACT
To examine the psychometric properties of Norwegian version Fear COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S), randomly selected individuals from a larger registry study were invited. We assessed reliability and validity instrument in sample 1089 adults Norway (response rate 73%). Internal consistency measured by Cronbach's alpha (0.88) was acceptable. Omega alphaHierarchical (ωt = 0.69) lower indicating that general factor is less reliable, explaining 69% total variance. Confirmatory analysis indicated FCV-19S not strictly unidimensional. Exploratory graph confirmatory supported two-factor model (cognitive somatic fear), which highly correlated (r 0.84). The showed an underlying structure. However, high correlation means two latent factors fear) act as indicators for second-order support use sum score. appears to be valid assess fear with good properties. online contains supplementary material available at 10.1007/s11469-020-00454-2.
