ABSTRACT
Abstract Three compounds namely; 5‐(phenyl)‐4 H ‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3‐thiol, 3‐(decylthio)‐5‐phenyl‐1 ‐1,2,4‐triazole and 3‐(benzylthio)‐5‐phenyl‐1 ‐1,2,4‐triazole) were synthesized. The chemical structure of the prepared was confirmed using FTIR 1 H‐NMR analysis. tested as corrosion inhibitors against carbon steel in M HCl weight loss, polarization electrochemical impedance methods. results revealed that these have significant inhibiting effects on steel. Polarization studies showed act mixed‐type which retard anodic cathodic reactions with a predominant effect towards reaction. evaluated antimicrobial agents sulfate‐reducing bacteria serial dilution method, good biocidal action.
