ABSTRACT
The authors present the prospective clinical outcome of nine pseudoarthroses resulting from surgical treatment carried out in children, whose ages varied 6 years and 2 months to 14 (mean 10 months), who had fractures femoral neck. Five were classified as type II, according Delbet classification modified by Colonna, four III. initial caused high-energy traumas, such trampling, bicycle falls, car accidents. Treatment choice was valgus osteotomy neck associated or not with insertion bony graft. mean time follow-up 38 months, ranging 23 71 pseudoarthrosis consolidation after 76.6 days, varying 45 240 days. In this study, all consolidated. For final analysis radiographic results, Ratliff's used. We obtained three cases good five fair one poor. concluded that is a option for children.
